| SOMETHING
UNEXPECTED HAPPENED AT OKZANNA! My red male, Amaar, passed away and needless to say my heart was filled with great sorrow. Then Lara`s 3 puppies with Slick brought great happiness into our home! Slick in his old age produces even better than when he was young! As is my custom, I asked some one with much experience in the Chow world to come and have a look at my puppies. To my astonishment they opened the back of their vehicle and a huge heavy black male looked around and then jumped out. I did not understand and thought they brought him for me to see........ But as the prodigal son, OKZANNA SHAKA ZULU had come HOME ! Only the hands that caught the baby and gave him from your heart knows this feeling. The owners plan to retire and move, and brought him where he belongs. It was like a movie playing before me, starting where I begun importing from Sweden Alea, Bobby, Slick, Whoopie, Femke and then finally SHAKA! (I have to give credit to Estelle and Mike for using Mufasa Bayete Kerchak) the handsome boy's father. But for the first time I could humbly see what I have been breeding at Okzanna chows ! (Kerchak was a grand son of Alea) Behind this boy`s impressive stature and broad muzzle were dogs such as: Ch Weircraft Venture Boy (BISS), Ch. Hanoi Willie Wumkins , Ch Taibel Texas Tiger of Ukwong, Ch (Swe/Nor) Perlrema Trikki Tom, Ch (Swe/Nor/Int) Melody`s All American (BISS) etc..... So believe in your lines - they may surprise you when least expect it! Humbly all the credit is not mine, but it goes to those breeders that pioneered the way for where we are today !!!! We see glimpses of the past skillfully brought through the years to surprise us in a modern world of this ancient race - the Chow Chow. My prayer is that every breeder has the experience to see that prodigal son come home! Melite |
